Why Are We Not Committed? Pt.2

Do blacks really hate themselves? How can we afford to be
anything else but committed to ourselves and the total
liberation of our people!
Do you really believe that you are free? What is freedom?
Do you know? Maybe through some utterly ridiculous
reasoning you believe that freedom constitutes standing on the
corner rapping to all the chicks that pass by or maybe you
think freedom is walking down the street and becoming a
victim of harassment or detainment by our fine Sheriff’s
Department – who will simply exclaim, “He looked like a
burglary suspect we got a report on.”
Possibly, we even have brothers and sisters who are naive
and mentally programmed enough, that, they honestly believe
freedom is wearing a mini skirt and or an Al Capone cap or
that freedom is riding down the street in your freaked off
V.W. showing the white pedestrians and motorists how good
your car can bounce up and down and make sparks.
Or how about the so-called Bourgeois Negro! I must not
exclude them!
The Bourgeois in his extreme state of development is the
most negative and detrimental road block to the black man
who wants to be totally free of will and choice. That is to say,
the bourgeois Negro will never be free – for he is still in
mental slave bondage to white America’s economic machinery.
He will not commit himself because he is afraid of the
pre-supposed social consequences. Are they really! What a
shame for it is this bourgeois Negro who represents that very
social consequence he keeps running from – you’ve been
brainwashed “Tom” – its as simple as that. You can’t run
from that reality, you must face that reality and destroy the
negativism that says “I can’t do anything because…”
The time for that type of defeatist thinking has passed. If
you are afraid of being totally black in America’s racist
society, you are in essence, afraid of life itself and if this is
true, you are a dead man yet unaware of his burial.
So! Sell your soul and mind to white America! What will
you get in return? You might say survival! I say disaster and
the constant self inflicted degradation that goes with it.
Nothing can save a mind and its freedom if you let yourself be
betrayed by a white destructive value called “capitalism”.
You see it’s white America who looks at us realistically;
they look at us in satisfaction not admiration.
White America will always need a justification for their
prejudiced attitudes; we cannot and must not allow ourselves
to supply the fuel for their prejudice – for it can only destroy
our minds and increase white America’s sickness.
As long as they see “House Nigger’s” and not “Men’
they’re happy!
How long will we continue to let ourselves be classified as
the people who like to be in the gutter, or the people who
always ask white America for everything and never do for
“Self”.
This is white America’s game, because it happens to be
white America’s country and we will never get respect as long
as we continue to beg.
The whole world revolves around “Self” – your image of
what you are – if you lie to “Self”, you will lie to everyone –
a lie that can, if not checked, lead to the total destruction of
the black man in America and the world.
We must be committed, we have no choice! We must
confront the raw realities of our environment – for if we
refuse now as we have done in the past, it will continue to lead
us on the course of “Self-Alienation” which is the very
“evil” that has guided our lives far too long.
We cannot run and hide anymore. Time is running out – we
must either be self-determined men and women or frustrated
and hung out puppets
